Healing with Dark Feminine Archetypes: Medusa, Lilith, Kali
with Trista Hendren
Trista reminds us of the impact of patriarchal and religious conditioning on women’s ability to express themselves, particularly in terms of our rage, and how needed the Mother Bear energy that stands up to injustice and the suffering of children is right now. She also takes us into the realm of archetypes, symbols, and myth, and describes how Lilith, Medusa, and Kali – as imperfect, raging and often demonised and misunderstood – Goddesses, can protect us, support us in standing in our power, connect us with the raw beauty and power of our life-giving bodies and bringing through healing.

Trista Hendren founded Girl God Books in 2011 to support a necessary unraveling of the patriarchal worldview of divinity. Her first book—The Girl God, a children's picture book—was a response to her own daughter's inability to see herself reflected in God. Since then, she has published more than 50 books with hundreds of contributors from across the globe. Originally from Portland, Oregon, she now lives in Bergen, Norway.
